This Land O' Lakes homeowner called with a struggling system in the heat of late May. Our diagnostic visit started at the outdoor unit, testing the electrical components and running the system on gauges, and the aging equipment was due for replacement. Jacob and Ernesto came back and worked straight through the install day: a new 3 ton heat pump outside and a new horizontal air handler with 5 kW of backup heat hung in the garage. The garage unit got an emergency drain pan with float switches, the line set was reconnected and insulated, the condensate drain was run outside, and the system was started on gauges and blowing cold air before the crew left.
Diagnosed, then replaced in a single install day.
